FIND AND PROTECT ACT

Organised Files

HR.2426/S.1146)

This act would require the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to evaluate state and tribal protocols for children who are missing from foster care. It would also help to improve state performance in serving missing and trafficked youth and would require the Gov. Accountability Office to report on youth running away from foster care and make recommendations to improve child welfare.

This is extremely important to help protect and prevent the large swaths of vulnerable foster care youth from being trafficked as well as provide care to those who are.
